The travel industry is growing all over the world at an impressive rate. Some of my friends are doingso wellin the travel business with their websites providing travel and tour services. Seeing them how amazingly well they are doing, I became interested in setting up a travel business too. I can do that as a home-based business.

So, I bought a computerto be dedicated to the business. I may need another one computer later on for an assistant. But, for the present one computer will do.

To make a good start, I need a website with all the features for connecting to airlines and links for booking on-line. I will have to get the service of a website designer to design a website.I know there are templates available on the net which can be used to build up a business website. But, I think it will be much better to have a professional designer tomake the website design customized to the travel business.

There will be a network of travel agents cooperating in the business with whom I should link with too. That would of mutual benefit to all members in the network. The bigger the network, the bigger will be the business. That is a feature necessary on the website. First and foremost of course, I should link my website with those of my friends who are in the business.

I may want to specialize on certain specific cities or regions of the world. It may also be a good idea to specialize on specific airlines. That may be the way to specialize for booking on-line.

I will have to consult with some of my friends who have been in the business for many years. They can certainly give me the best guidance for starting the business. There may be certainly rules and regulations regarding linking with the websites of the airlines to make the booking on-line. Those are the things my friends will be able to guide me through.

In any case, I am convinced this will be an excellent home-based business. As the business expands, I may employ a few assistants to help me managing the business systematically.
